The Brunswick – Glynn County Joint Water & Sewer Commission will be hosting a public meeting on August 5th, at 10:00 AM to present and discuss the JWSC Systems Master Plan Update. The original master plan was completed in 2007 and has not been updated since. A Master Plan should be updated every 5 years. This presentation will define what condition the JWSC water and sanitary sewer systems are currently in and a proposed plan for needed repair & replacement for these systems. It will also define where current capital improvement projects are needed.
This presentation is important to the water and sewer infrastructure and is to formulate a short and long range blueprint on maintaining these complex systems. The proposed master plan will also set up a funding path to manage long range budgets by.
This meeting will present the first preliminary draft of this update. Commission, Staff, and Public input are encouraged during this meeting. The final draft will be made available approximately 30 days after this presentation.
