Each of the 4 phases of this project will take 7 to 8 months to complete and will repeat again in similar batches until all 30,000 meters have been upgraded. This staggering of upgrades will help ensure that the batteries in the radio transmitters, which we expect to have a useful life of fifteen years, do not all fail during the same period in the future.<\/p>\n<p>As of March 8<sup>th<\/sup>, 1,534 meters have been installed, 20% of our total for this year. Each day, M&amp;E Construction installs an average of 55 residential meters.
