The main break was repaired under pressure, helping keep services maintained through the busiest part of the day.<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>As of 9:45 am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, an emergency lane closure is necessary in the roundabout at the intersection of Frederica Rd and Demere Rd on St. Simons Island. This morning, a citizen alerted us to water running down the street and a preliminary inspection indicated that a crew will need to excavate in the area to determine the source of the leak. At this time, we are unable to confirm whether or not service will be affected.<\/p>\n<p>For the safety of our crews, the outside lane of the roundabout will be unavailable, likely in the section adjacent to Southern Soul Barbecue&#8217;s front parking spots.
