From the Marshes of Glynn and the banks of the Altamaha River to the beaches on Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island, those of us that live, work and play here can’t deny that what we have is special. However, many of the things we value, such as our beautiful ecosystem or our strong economic environment, are fragile in many ways. Our goal at the Local Emergency Planning Committee is to join with partners during our “blue sky days” to best prepare for, prevent, and mitigate hazards that we face in our community.

Throughout 2024, we will gather together on the second Tuesday of each month in the board chambers of the BGJWSC in Brunswick, located at 1703 Gloucester Street. We look forward to seeing you there. Until then, please browse our site to learn more about who we are and what we do.
