  • Service Disruption Notice for Saint Simons Island – July 28, 2025

    UPDATE AS OF 9:14 AM: The distribution mains have been successfully flushed, and all air has been purged from the lines. Water tank pressure is steadily increasing, which is helping to resolve reduced water pressure. As adequate water pressure was maintained, water will not need to be boiled before use.

    A temporary water service disruption was reported in the Saint Simons Island service district due to air present in the distribution mains. The affected area extends approximately from Sea Island Road to Mallery Street. Crews have responded promptly and have flushed the distribution mains to remove the air. Water tank pressure continues to increase, and service is in the process of being fully restored.

    UPDATE AS OF 8:35 AM: Customers may be experiencing low water pressure caused by air in the distribution mains. No water quality issue has occurred. Crews are on site flushing hydrants, and an update will be posted once the situation has been resolved.

  • All-Clear Notification for Whispering oaks – Sunday, July 13, 2025

    Cause: Materials Failure

    Date/Time Restored: July 13, 2025

    Effective immediately, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory has passed. Results have been verified by our state-licensed technician within a certified laboratory environment.

    This notification is an ALL-CLEAR and water used for drinking will no longer need to be boiled.

    Though the water from this system can now be considered to meet safe drinking water standards, please discard any ice made within the last 48 hours. Food service establishments must contact the Glynn County Environmental Health – Georgia Department of Public Health at (912) 279-2940 to be inspected prior to opening.
